Several of our midshipmen and one MECEP student had to opportunity to present to colors at the Yankees game last week. Following the national anthem, they were able to watch the game from just behind home plate where the XO caught a ball.

Congratulations to LT Dalton Li who was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal upon completion of his tour as Nuclear Programs Officer at the Unit. After six honorable years, he will be separating from the Navy to join McKinsey & Company in Los Angeles.

Congratulations to the newly commissioned ENS Michael Fiorenza, who was commissioned into the Merchant Marine Reserves of the US Navy Reserves on 26 APR 2006.

ENS Lyman was commissioned into the U.S. Navy Reserve, Merchant Marine Reserve, and will be working with the Military Sealift Command onboard USNS OBSERVATION ISLAND.

SUNY Maritime Grad Earns Bronze Medal
"Captain Brian T. Mulvihill (pictured) of the United States Marine Corps, was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with valor for his work in connection with combat operations as Battalion Operations Advisor, while deployed with the Multi-National Security Transition Command in Iraq. Captain Mulvihill attended P.S. 114, J.H.S. 180, Xavier High School and SUNY Maritime. He is presently stationed in Quantico, Virginia. Captain Mulvihill is the son of Carol and Tom Mulvihill of Belle Harbor."
